What does $3,000,000+ get you in San Marino today? Real Estate Photography on Lombardy Road, San Marino, CA
It was a treat to tour this charming, traditional home while professionally photographing it! The layout was welcoming throughout, keeping its classic feel with a rustic touch. Even though $3,000,000+ is a lot of money, it's not so bad for this area of San Marino/Pasadena, California.
When selling a home in these areas, it's especially important to generate as many offers as possible by professionally presenting the home online with high quality, professional photography. Without it, many people (potential buyers) may simply overlook the listing on websites such as RedFin, Trulia, Zillow, and others.
Take a little tour with the photos below :)

Professional real estate photography often entails alternate angles of the exterior to highlight additional details.

It was actually an overcast day in San Marino, California on the day of the shoot, but the sky can be enhanced or replaced in professional real estate photography. Ask your photographer, and they should be able to provide this service, sometimes for an additional fee.
A pool is a must in any Los Angeles area home, but that's just my opinion. Sometimes during the appraisal, no value is given at all :(

Since San Marino, Ca consists of many luxury homes, even the older homes have spacious rooms with built in appliances. Your professional photographer should aim to always show off these features that attract qualified buyers (aka the ones with the money)!

Hardwood floors give off a classic vibe in any home. A wide angle lens used in real estate photography will always draw eyes to what kind of flooring the home for sale has. Make sure your professional real estate photographer has a high-quality wide angle lens!

A lot of photoshop goes into real estate photography after the shoot is done. Typically I spend around 10-15 minutes on each photo, and I have an an assistant editor that helps me on many of my photos.
It's nice to capture the outside views when photographing a home, unless it's just a plain wall or some sort of eyesore. This requires special lighting or extra photoshop, and several photos at different exposures are taken to achieve this type of result. Put your iPhone down when photographing real estate ;)

Can you tell the fire was photoshopped in afterwards? They can't either :) This is often a nice touch to a fireplace and an alternative choice to starting a fire yourself!

As long as the room is tidy, fancy furnishing are not a requirement - but definitely a better option if your budget permits. My favorite stager is Allison Roth in Pasadena at www.AllisonRothCreative.com Just keep in mind that most people who are looking to buy a home are searching online first, and professional staging does help the professional real estate photographer's job :)

Another example of capturing the view outside separately then adding it in afterwards in photoshop. Also, a TV image is added in...but sometimes this can be a bit distracting!

A wide angle lens in real estate photography helps capture small areas like this bathroom above and mini bar below.
Just a roomy laundry room with an exit to the pool area/courtyard style backyard.
