This elegant Mediterranean Townhome in Pasadena, CA commanded our attention as we arrived for the professional photography shoot.
Usually 2 or 3 front exterior photos are taken at a typical real estate photography session, unless more are requested beforehand. Fixed items, like the eyesore fire hydrant below, are not permitted to be removed for real estate marketing purposes on the MLS. However, it's not an impossible job in photoshop.
Several elegant archways can be seen from a carefully chosen angle to showcase as much space as possible. An experienced real estate photographer sees this as a fun challenge!

When photographing homes for real estate, it's always appreciated when structural details can be the main focus of just a few of the shots while showing other features of the home that bring value to potential buyers.
An angled fireplace below, seen in the living room, provides a unique style not always seen. The real estate photographer should always attempt to capture unique, structural features. With experience, real estate photography can become second nature for those who have a true passion for it.
The large archways accentuates the open feel of this Pasadena townhome. The photographer's wide angle lens used in real estate photography generously documents the open spaces that many buyers love to see. The real estate photographer does not always photograph the closet as there are often personal belongings hindering the view, unless it is a vacant home or a very organized and clutter-free closet!
Well, we decided to photograph this lovely closet anyway :) Typically the photographer does not move or touch anything, but there are many things that would have been nice if they were placed somewhere else by the homeowner or the realtor prior to our arrival.
This Pasadena townhome has two sets of stairs; one leads to the upper level where the bedrooms and laundry are located, and the other leads downstairs to the private 2 car garage.
No elegant two level home is complete without a powder room for convenience and guests!
